About Us

In November 1994 Chad Fryer moved back home from Chicago, IL, after working for the ministry of the Institute in Basic Life Principles. (www.IBLP.org) With some money saved and a vision for a family home business, his desire was to provide quality shade and shelter by serving the needs of Fayette County and vicinity.

With a desire to remain debt free, Chad bought his first 20′ x 40′ anchor white party tent in January of 1995 for $5,000. His first rental came on April 1, 1995. Although Chad was still working out of his parents’ garage, word began to spread that Chad had a white tent perfect for weddings. Grateful for his family volunteering their time, counsel, and labor, Chad and Classic Canopies were continuing to be blessed by God, one customer at a time!

Once the business was established Chad walked the aisle himself, marrying Nancy Ann McMillan from Clinton, Mississippi. Nancy Ann’s contributions to the business were and continue to be invaluable and much needed. The company’s success greatly relies upon her counsel and wisdom. Nancy Ann is a tremendous help with customers’ initial questions and needs.

Meanwhile, the need for round tables and white chairs became a priority. And as Classic Canopies’ inventory grew, the need for more help became imminent! With continued help from family, the work always gets completed thanks to Chad’s parents Dean and Amelia Fryer, brother Todd and his wife Helen, Nancy Ann’s parents Mike and Cathy McMillan, and siblings Michael, Dianne, Carrie, and David. Everyone has contributed to the company in many ways. Classic Canopies owes a debt of gratitude to each and every one!

The goal of Classic Canopies, Inc. is to provide quality tent, table, and chair rental services that would exceed our customer’s expectations and enhance the memories of your occasion/event for years to come.
Classic Canopies is owned and operated by Chad and Nancy Ann Fryer.
